History
Nil Medical’s product development began in 2011 with a research project aimed at facilitating long-term cancer treatments for children and young people. Martin Hanberger, a master’s student in industrial design, initiated a collaboration with the pediatric oncology department at Norrlands University Hospital. During the project, patients, families, and healthcare professionals were interviewed, all of whom actively contributed to creating a well-functioning product. The project received financial support from organizations including the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation, Region Västerbotten, and Vinnova.
